A review of geological and geotechnical features of some Middle Eastern countries

Abstract: This paper presents a collection of some of the available published information on geological and geotechnical characteristics of some Middle Eastern countries within the Arabian Peninsula. For each of the countries considered, a brief summary is given of the geological history, typical geotechnical profiles and typical geotechnical parameters, and if available, information on foundation design parameters.
