Abstract: Electricity performs an integral part in the economical development and national growth of country. Unfortunately, Pakistan is going through its worst period of power shortages. It is also adversely affecting the production capacity of thousands of industrial units in the country. The foremost cause of "load shedding" is that Pakistan produces major portion of energy from fossil fuels, its price and demand is continuously increasing with the passage of time.
