In this study, the aim was to determine the online game preferences of high school students and to examine the online game playing disorders according to different variables. The study was carried out in accordance with the relational survey method. The study was carried out in accordance with the cross-sectional model. The participants of the study consist of 255 high school students studying in two different private schools in Sakarya in 2019-2020 academic year. Internet Gaming Disorder Scale Short Form (İOOBÖ9-KF) was used in the study. At the end of the study, it is concluded that high school students did not have online game playing disorders. It has been observed that male students have higher online game playing disorders than female students. Also, it is concluded that online game playing disorders of high school students do not differ significantly in terms of students' level of education and whether they have their own computer at home. In addition, it is concluded that high school students who play games in online environments mostly prefer war and FPS types.
