A dual‐band high‐gain EBG resonator antenna fed by dipole in CMOS process

Abstract: A high-gain dual-band electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) resonator antenna (ERA) which is suitable for 60 GHz short-range communication and 77 GHz vehicle collision avoidance application is proposed. The EBG is constructed by two identical slabs over a fully reflective ground plane. A dipole in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) 65 nm process is employed to serve as a feeder of the resonator.
