2011–2019 was the critical period of the low-carbon transformation of the power industry, reflecting the deepening influence of market mechanisms. Decarbonization of the new power system is a systematic project that needs to strengthen the top-level design and overall planning. Therefore, the paper first evaluates the decarbonization of the existing power system and controls the grid architecture, power structure, energy utilization, supply chain, and trading market to further optimize the system by strengthening the basic theoretical research of the new power system, exploring the key elements of the low-carbon development of the power system, promoting the breakthrough of the key subjects, and formulating the new power system decarbonization path. In the international push for carbon neutrality goals, identifying key factors in the decarbonization of the power system is critical to achieving low-carbon development in the power sector. Combined with the characteristics and development trends of the power industry, the five dimensions of “Power generation decarbonization (SP)”, “Energy utilization efficiency (EU)”, “Supply chain decarbonization (SC)”, and “Power grid decarbonization (PG)”, and “the Trading system (TS)” are selected to construct an evaluation index system for the power decarbonization and identify the key factors. The Analytic Network Process (ANP) Method is used to calculate the index weight and measure the decarbonization level of the power industry in 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2019. The evaluation results reveal that the overall decarbonization level of the power industry is on the rise and has stabilized after peaking in 2016. The regression results of the systematic GMM estimation show that “the intensity of cross-regional transmission”, “the degree of carbon market participation”, “technology innovation”, and “policy support” can significantly promote power decarbonization, and different regions have heterogeneity. Therefore, we propose to achieve technological innovation and upgrading in the eastern region, strengthen the construction of smart grids in the central region, optimize the power structure in the western region, and improve the market mechanism as a whole, to form a low-carbon development path for the power industry.

The performance of the battery used in the traditional solar photovoltaic power generation system is poor, and the solar energy has a certain volatility, which makes the performance of the solar photovoltaic power generation system decline significantly. In order to improve the performance of the solar photovoltaic power generation system, a solar photovoltaic fuel cell combined power generation system has been developed. However, there are some problems in the process of traditional combined generation system optimal scheduling, such as high investment cost and total cost, and short generation time of optimal scheduling scheme. This paper takes solving the problems of traditional system optimal scheduling as the research goal, a new optimization scheduling method of solar photovoltaic and fuel cell combined power generation system was designed. The composition and topological structure of the solar photovoltaic fuel cell combined power generation system are analyzed. The system is composed of photovoltaic array, fuel cell, electrolytic cell, short-term energy storage unit and energy control unit. It can mainly convert sunlight radiation into electric energy, and convert it into DC or AC used by people through multiple links, so as to ensure the stability and security of power supply in our country. A scheduling model is established according to the photovoltaic cell power generation model, the fuel cell power generation model, the electrolytic hydrogen production model, the battery model, the power conversion model and the combined power generation system model. And the multi-objective cuckoo algorithm is used to solve the model, the optimization scheduling results of solar photovoltaic fuel cell combined power generation system are obtained. The experimental results show that the total investment cost of this method is reduced by 123678.4 yuan and 175858.7 yuan compared with the experimental comparison method, and the total cost is reduced by 301195.5 yuan and 414991.8 yuan compared with the experimental comparison method. It shows that compared with the experimental comparison method, the total investment cost and total cost of this method are lower, and the generation time of the optimal scheduling scheme is between 0.19s and 0.25s, and the practical application effect is good. It fully solves the problems existing in the traditional methods and has certain application significance.

Purpose Renewable energy sources such as solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind are ubiquitous because of their lower environmental impact. Output from solar PV and wind turbines is unstable; hence, this article aims to propose an effective controller to extract maximum available power. Design/methodology/approach By focusing on the varying nature of solar irradiance and wind speed, the paper presents the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique for renewable energy sources, and power regulation is made by the novel inverter design. Moreover, a DC–DC boost converter is adopted with solar PV, and a doubly fed induction generator is connected with the wind turbine. The proposed MPPT technique is used with the help of a rain optimization algorithm (ROA) based on bi-directional long short-term memory (Bi-LSTM) (ROA_Bi-LSTM). In addition, the sinusoidal pulse width modulation inverter is used for DC–AC power conversion. Findings The proposed MPPT technique has jointly tracked the maximum power from solar PV and wind under varying climatic conditions. The power flow to the transmission line is stabilized to protect the load devices from unregulated frequency and voltage deviations. The power to the smart grid is regulated by three-level sinusoidal pulse width modulation inverter. Originality/value The methodology and concept of the paper are taken by the author on their own. They have not taken a duplicate copy of any other research article.
