A Storage-Effective BTB Organization for Servers

Abstract: Many contemporary applications feature multimegabyte instruction footprints that overwhelm the capacity of branch target buffers (BTB) and instruction caches (L1-I), causing frequent front-end stalls that inevitably hurt performance.
