With a range of learning platforms available on the Internet and the increasing use of video content in education, there have been many studies on using ontologies to support education and learning. However, in many cases, the connections among content systematized in this way are confined within a subject, and there is no learning across subjects or expansion of learners' interests beyond individual subjects. We aimed to connect all educational content in a way that goes beyond school subjects and curricula. In this study, we re-examined the learning sequence of subject matter terms over the course of the learning process, redefined it as a set of basic/advanced relationships among the terms, and proposed a method of estimating the appropriate ordering of content for learning by structuring and utilizing this terminological attribute. We also prototyped a system incorporating our proposed method to help users select educational content and tested it in a proof-of-concept experiment. By comparing the textbook-based presentation of related content with our proposed cross-subject presentation, we identified each method's characteristics and confirmed the proposed method's effectiveness at expanding learners' interests.

With the proliferation of the Internet of Things and smart devices, content presentation devices and content types are constantly increasing. However, there is little consideration given to selecting the appropriate devices for presenting a particular content. Therefore, we propose a web-based device selection method based on semantic data from the resource description framework. In this study, we use notifications as examples of content, and a network graph representing users, content, and devices is arranged in a two-dimensional space by our user-centric force-directed algorithm. By selecting device nodes near the user node from the placement results, devices are determined to present content. Based on the proposed algorithm, a device selection system and a notification presentation application were prototyped. The experimental results show that the proposed method has a higher probability of selecting the correct devices than the existing method of obtaining vectors from RDF data.

In the age of pervasive computing and social networks, it has become commonplace to retrieve opinions about digital contents in games. In the case of multiplayer, open world gaming, in fact even in "old-school" single players games, it is evident the need for adding new features in a game depending on users comments and needs. However this is a challenging task that usually requires considerable design and programming efforts, and more and more patches to games, with the inevitable consequence of loosing interest in the game by players over years. This is particularly a hard problem for all games that do not intend to be designed as interactive novels. Process Content Generation of new contents could be a solution to this problem, but usually such techniques are used to design new maps or graphical contents. Here propose a novel PCG technique able to introduce new contents in games by means of new story-lines and quests. We introduce new intelligent agents and events in the world: their attitudes and behaviors will promote new actions in the game, leading to the involvement of players in new gaming content. The whole methodology is driven by Social Media Analysis contents about the game, and by the use of formal planning techniques based on Multi-Agents models.
