Those items originally used in the US were translated from English to Chinese and were later back translated from Chinese to English by different bi-lingual experts.…”

“…Based on the results of our prior studies (Huang et al, 2005;Zhang et al, 2006), 8 survey questions were developed to quantify the perceived drawbacks and concerns for Chinese drivers (e.g., the high cost of the technology, the complexity and reliability of the technology, the threat to the profession, privacy issues) (see Table 4). A perceived (most serious) concern was the possible high cost of in-vehicle technology: 56.5% of the drivers agreed, 24.5% were undecided and 19% disagreed with the statement "I'm concerned that the cost of providing feedback by technology may be high."…”
