The rarely recorded Polysphincta longa is probably widely overlooked in Europe as a result of confusion with the morphologically similar P. boops. Characters for the separation of these species are given, and host and distribution records, largely based on recent fieldwork, are presented. Araneus angulatus is shown to be the hitherto unknown host of P. longa, while all rearing records for P. boops are from Araniella species. P. longa is reported as new to the fauna of the United Kingdom and P. boops as new to Estonia.

This paper reports on a collection of 25 species (in 10 genera) of the subfamily Tryphoninae. Of these, 12 species and two genera, Cycasis Townes and Oedemopsis Tschek, are new for the Turkish fauna. With this contribution, the species and genera of Tryphoninae occurring in Turkey have increased to 62 and 18 respectively. For some species, the records indicate a much wider distribution area than was hitherto known. A zoogeographical characterisation is given for each of these 25 species.Kurzfassung. Es wird über eine Sammlung von 25 Arten (in 10 Gattungen) der Unterfamilie Tryphoninae berichtet. Von diesen Arten sind 12 neu für die Türkei, einschießlich der beiden Gattungen Cycasis Townes und Oedemopsis Tschek. Mit diesem Beitrag erhöht sich die Zahl der Tryphoninae-Arten der Türkei auf 62, die Zahl der Gattungen auf 18. Für einige Arten ergibt sich ein wesentlich größeres Verbreitungsgebiet als bisher bekannt. Für alle 25 Arten wird eine zoogeographische Charakterisierung gegeben.

This present contribution is based upon the ichneumonids collected from the northeastern Anatolian part of Turkey in 2014. A total of 57 species belonging to subfamilies Acaenitinae, Anomaloninae, Banchinae, Campopleginae, Cremastinae, Cryptinae, Diplazontinae, Ichneumoninae, Metopiinae, Orthocentrinae, Oxytorinae, Pimplinae, and Tryphoninae have been recorded. Among them, Agrypon clandestinum (Gravenhorst), Lissonota (Lissonota) nitida (Gravenhorst), Campoletis agilis (Holmgren), Diadegma combinatum (Holmgren), Olesicampe cavigena (Thomson), Olesicampe patellana (Thomson), Aptesis assimilis (Gravenhorst), Schreineria populnea (Giraud), Xylophrurus lancifer (Gravenhorst), Diplazon pallicoxa Manukyan, Homotropus pallipes (Gravenhorst), Woldstedtius biguttatus (Gravenhorst), and Oxytorus luridator (Gravenhorst) are new records for the Turkish fauna. New data on the distribution of 40 known species were added. Additionally, a zoogeographical characterization is given for each of the species.
