A Study on Temperature Distribution of Surrounding Rock and Mechanical Characteristics of Lining of Monglian Tunnel under High Geothermal

Abstract: To solve design and construction problems of Monglian tunnel under high geothermal, based on the change rules of thermal parameters of surrounding rock and lining during excavation period, this paper analyzed the temperature distribution, heat transfer in tunnel and interaction between lining and surrounding rock, then by using numerical simulation, the relationship between temperature field and mechanical characteristics of lining and surrounding rock was discussed. Finally, the methods of using blast furnace… Show more

“…The convective heat transfer coefficients in the wall surfaces of the tunnel were set with reference to previous research results, and the convective heat transfer coefficients of the ground surface were based on the local outdoor wind studies (OU et al 2002;Zhang and Li 2018). The surrounding rock layers are mainly sandstone, and their thermophysical properties were shown in Table 1 (Li et al 2019;Liang and Zhao 2011;Zhang et al 2013). The ground temperature fluctuation of Suzhou City used the atmospheric data shown in Fig.1, but the solar radiation was ignored.…”

“…As we all know, shotcrete often serves in complex environments and directly contacts the soil [7,21]. Whether fluorine would leach out and pollute the soil was an important issue to consider [22,23]. In addition, if there are free fluorine ions in shotcrete, it might cause risks to reinforcement corrosion [24,25].…”

“…With the advancement of design theory and construction technology, more long, large and deep buried tunnels will be built in highways, railways, mining and hydropower fields, 1–4 and the accompanying high‐temperature geothermal problems will become increasingly prominent 5–13 . The geothermal disaster of the tunnel not only poses a serious threat to the construction quality and personnel health, but also poses a great hidden danger to the safety of the tunnel supporting structure.…”
