A survey on the service interoperability in cloud computing: Client‐centric and provider‐centric perspectives

Abstract: The vendor lock-in is a prominent issue in cloud computing. It is caused by cloud providers who offer proprietary services, which hinders the cloud interoperability. Client-centric interoperability enables the migration of the data and applications across clouds; it gives the clients control over their workloads and a wider range of service choices. Whereas, provider-centric interoperability allows the providers to collaborate. Thus, providers, who have spare resources, can lend them to other providers who lac… Show more

“…So, the optimization methods developed for different types of resources will yield different execution results; that is,, the optimization objectives of the model determine the final results that the algorithm can produce. This section next describes the multiple optimization objectives of the static task model [ 25 ]. The model does not consider the traditional single-objective problem but rather a multiobjective English multimedia test model, which not only considers the total execution time of the task and the monetary overhead incurred during the system operation but also considers the execution cost of all tasks in the final optimization objective of the task model to ensure that the model can produce the best scheduling strategy after taking all factors into account.…”

“…Bouzerzour et al [31] finalized a cloud broker, model based solution and semantic technologies to focus on achieving interoperability based on service client. Interoperability based on the service provider depends on standardized API, middleware, and protocols for solutions.…”
