The study aims to determine the elements of lexical cohesion contained in the novel entitled Pencuri Kecil written by Iin Nuraini and to find out the relevance between the lexical cohesion contained in the novel entitled Pencuri Kecil written by Iin Nuraini with teaching materials Indonesian at school. The research uses a content analysis method with a descriptive type of research. Methodology: The method used descriptive textual means analyzing the data obtained in detail so that the correct data can be obtained. The results of the study are in the form of descriptions accompanied by data citations. The material object is a novel entitled Pencuri Kecil" written by Iin Nuraini. Data collection techniques use the listen and record method. Results: There are 2 conclusions from the results of this study, namely: 1. The discovery of lexical cohesion in the novel entitled "Pencuri Kecil" written by Iin Nuraini in the form of repetition/repetition, antonymy/opponent, hyponymy/top-down relationship, synonymy/word matching and collocation or sanding word; 2. There is relevance between lexical cohesion in the novel entitled Pencuri Kecil written by Iin Nuraini with teaching materials in schools, especially Indonesian lessons with the theme of writing stories (novels) and analyzing the language of stories or novels. Applications/Originality/Value: This research is expected to provide benefits as teaching materials and introduction to lexical cohesion in Indonesian learning and as inspiration for teachers to find surefire ways to foster student interest in learning so that learning Indonesian interesting and overall educational goals can be achieved.
