“…Rehabilitación basada en la comunidad: guías para la RBC es el último documento editado por la OMS en 201028 .La RBC se define como «una estrategia dentro del desarrollo general de la comunidad para la rehabilitación, igualdad de oportunidades e inclusión social de todos/as los/as niños/as y adultos con discapacidad, que se aplica a través de los esfuerzos combinados de las personas con discapacidad, sus familias y las comunidades, y los apropiados servicios de salud, educación, formación vocacional y servicios sociales» 27 . A través de la RBC se realiza una atención integral a las PD de una comunidad a partir de un centro de rehabilitación, que realiza un papel de referencia y contrarreferencia para las PD, y se involucra tanto a sus familias como a los diversos sectores implicados, capacitando a un trabajador de la comunidad que ejerce de nexo2,4,5,17,29 .
