A Typology of Reasons for Having Children or Not

Abstract: The decline in the size of the population in Russia presents economic and social challenges for the society and for policymakers, but research data show that the values found in families (and especially the values of women) do not lead one to expect much change in the number of children born toRussian families in the foreseeable future.
