A validated dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction method for extraction of ochratoxin A from raisin samples

Abstract: A method based on dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) was developed for the quantitative extraction of Ochratoxin A (OTA) from raisin samples. The influence of various parameters on the recovery of OTA such as type and volume of DLLME extractant, centrifuging and sonication time, also volume of deionized water was investigated. Recovery values under the optimum conditions were between 68.6 and 85.2 %, the inner and intra-day precision expressed as relative standard deviation (RSD%, n =3), were les… Show more

“…As regards the retail unpacked dried vine fruits, 1 kg was purchased, from which 5 incremental samples weighing 100 g each were taken; consequently, the laboratory samples were 500 g that were homogenized in a Waring blender. Analytical method was similar to that described by Karami‐Osboo and others () with slight modifications.…”

“…A miniaturised liquid-liquid extraction procedure with some modifications was employed [26,27]. The first clean-up method involved the addition of Carrez I (0.451 mol L −1 ) and Carrez II (1.339 mol L −1 ) solutions (500 µL) to the fruit drink sample (40 mL), followed by centrifugation.…”
