A wet plasma scrubber for use in industrial pollution control

Abstract: In pollution control applications, the presence of water in the electrical discharge enhances oxidation of pollutants. We report the results of a discharge in gas when it flows through a heterogeneous mixture of water and dielectric pellets. The discharge is similar to a dielectric-barrier discharge with a mixture of water and dielectric beads. The electrical characteristics of such a discharge are discussed.
