Abscisic Acid: A New Mammalian Hormone Regulating Glucose Homeostasis

Abstract: Abscisic acid (ABA) is a hormone conserved in plants and animals with the common role of regulating the response to biotic and abiotic environmental stimuli. Plants and animals share Cyclic ADP-ribose, NO and Ca 2+ as second messengers of ABA in the signaling cascade downstream of its interaction with different receptors.
