“…In addition, we further validated the inhibitory effects of E2F1 knockout on PTC tumor growth in vivo , as evidenced by decreased Ki67 positive expression. The latter is particularly important as Ki67 positive expression is lauded as a critical indicator of PTC growth, since Ki67 was associated with tumor volume and thyroiditis and further associated with a high chance of relapse [ 34 , 35 ]. Furthermore, a prior study highlighted that Ki67 expression was elevated in conjunction with E2F1 overexpression in cervical cancer, which reiterates the positive relationship between them [ 36 ].…”

“…Detection of LNM on preoperative evaluation is critical in patients undergoing active surveillance management. Active surveillance management is the careful monitoring of patients with low-risk primary PTC (small size or without suspicious US features) by yearly or bi-yearly US and/or CT to detect thyroid nodule changes [ 60 ]. Importantly, LNM detection is an indication to immediately terminate active surveillance management and proceed with surgical treatment.…”

“…Axillary pain and numbness of the chin after conventional transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy are important reasons affecting the effect of surgery outcome [18,19] . More importantly, the nylon wire examination score, pressure needle puncture examination score, or numbness VAS score indicated that the degree of numbness of the jaw in novel Mini transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy group is signi cantly better than the conventional transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy group.…”
