“…In Australia, the discipline of career development has not traditionally been involved in the resettlement and career progression of refugees, and instead, the social and community work fields have predominately provided a range of supports to address immediate needs upon arrival, such as safety, housing, and income support. Formal services may be offered through personnel working in agencies funded by governments, or through informal community organizations with limited funding for staff, relying on volunteers (Goopy et al, 2020).
