“…Thermodynamic properties of the MgO-BO 1.5 , [3][4][5][6][7] CaO-BO 1.5 , [7][8][9][10][11][12] and SiO 2 -BO 1.5 [13][14][15][16][17][18] binary systems have been measured by various researchers at a wide but low temperature range between 1 273 K and 1 800 K. Several methods, such as chemical equilibration and Knudsen-cell mass spectrometry, were used. However, discrepancies exist in some of these over the investigated concentration and temperature range.…”

“…All of the thermodynamic data are considered in the present work. For the inconsistence of the activity data measured by Zhang [18] at 1773K and those at 1723 K by Wang [19], the activity data is assigned a low weight in the optimization. The interaction parameter A of L 0 (15,760) obtained from the present work is in accordance with that of Hervig and Narotsky [16] (12.95±0.96 kJ/mol).…”

“…Their data have indicated a positive deviation from the ideal behavior. Moreover, the results of Zhang [18] at 1773K and those of Wang [19] at 1723K did not consistent well with each other. Furthermore, the activity of B 2 O 3 obtained by Shul'ts [20] showed negative deviation from the ideal behaviour.…”
