“…Currently, there are few case reports of MOGAD developing after COVID-19 vaccination. ( Dams et al, 2021 ) However, given that MOG-positive myelitis has been found after other types of vaccinations (influenza and DTaP)( Amano et al, 2014 ; Loos et al, 2020 ) and MOGAD cases after COVID-19 infection have been described with diverse phenotypes,( Kogure et al, 2021 ; Sinha et al, 2021 ; Žorić et al, 2021 ) more MOGAD cases following COVID-19 vaccination may be reported. Our three patients with MOGAD improved completely after high-dose steroid administration, and remained with no disability, and without further relapses; these patients are being monitored without maintenance immunotherapy.…”

“…8 Just recently, some other cases of MOG-associated syndromes after COVID-19 infection have been described. 913 Garg et al 14 discussed direct invasion of the virus, cytokine storm, coagulopathy and an autoimmune response as potential mechanisms of spinal cord involvement in COVID-19 infection.…”

“…The neurologic UK study did not detect antibodies in COVID-19 patients with autoimmune encephalitis ( Paterson et al, 2020 ). However, a number of studies have reported myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG)-associated demyelinating syndrome ( Woodhall et al, 2020 ; Sinha et al, 2021 ), encephalitis ( Peters et al, 2021 ), and optic neuritis ( Sawalha et al, 2020 ) in the SARS-CoV-2 setting.…”
