“…The KidsLife instrument, the scale from which KidsLife-Down originated, has been adapted into Spanish from different countries such as Colombia (Mora-Ant o et al, 2020). In Chile, the adaptation of other instruments to measure quality or satisfaction of life for different populations have been published, such as the transcultural adaptation and validation of a satisfaction with life scale for adolescents, and the adjustment of the Integral Scale of QoL for people with intellectual disability ( Álvarez et al, 2018;Castro et al, 2017;Verdugo et al, 2010). The adapted scale had a peer validation process, and as in others cases (Mora-Ant o et al, 2020), this version required a transcultural adaptation to Chilean Spanish, which was done with the opinion of an expert judges group, selected by their knowledge about DS condition and QoL, who evaluated changes done in the questions of the scale.…”
