Adaptive robust control of a high-response dual proportional solenoid valve with flow force compensation

Abstract: This article focuses on the high-performance control of a high-response proportional solenoid valve which has two proportional solenoids. The valve is named high-response dual proportional solenoid valve (HDPSV). The HDPSV can achieve faster response than other high-response proportional solenoid valves with one proportional solenoid and has the potential of gaining stronger disturbance rejection due to the differential effect of two proportional solenoids. However, the expense for these advantages is that mor… Show more

“…Liu Z. et al [9] optimized the structure of a large flow solenoid valve by multi-physics modeling method. Yi Xiong et al [10] extended the dynamic model of the high-response dual proportional solenoid valve discontinuous projection-based adaptive robust control to synthesize controller to deal with the parametric uncertainties and uncertain nonlinearities. Both the simulation and experimental results showed the proposed controller was effective.…”

“…Jianhua Wei et al [54] applied the spatial light modulator (SLM) controller by switching the voltage power supply as depicted in Figure 8. This also includes an adaptive robust control with flow force compensation to servo-solenoid valves [55] and a controller with a reduced-order extended state observer [56]. Lu et al [57,58] studied in detail the dead zone compensation control based on detections of the microflow rate in the pilot stages of the proportional directional valves.…”

“…Time-variant inductors exist in many industrial applications such as electric motors [1], power electronics [2], magnetic bearings [3], Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDT) [4], piezoelectric actuators [5] and fluidic valves [6]. The changing inductance will make the flux inside a motor nonuniform, which causes eddy currents to occur.…”
