“…We determined the levels of NE, DA and 5‐HT in mouse hippocampus using ELISA kits. In this study, decreased levels of NE, DA and 5‐HT in the model group were observed, which was consistent with previous reports (Du, Liang, Zhang, & Fu, ). Our results also showed that NE, DA and 5‐HT in the Flu and YXST groups showed an upward trend to normal levels.…”

“…In our study, we found that PSD rats exhibited both neurological impairments such as reduced asymmetry, strength, and decreased walking time, as well as impaired memory with MWMT test. BWT is a behavior test on assessing motor coordination after a stroke, and the CT and FGFT tests are behavior tests on assessing subjects for motor impairments [4,27,28]. e impairment of neurological and cognitive functions was observed in our PSD rat model, and treatment with JY significantly decreased the impairments, including improving grip force, decreasing asymmetry and beam crossing time.…”

“…The biosynthesis of ACh was not changed, which was shown by unaltered choline levels or choline acetyltransferase level in any region of rat's brain. 26 This rise was sustained for 6 h. Systemic HupA considerably enhanced ACh levels above baseline at doses of 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 mg/kg by 54%, 129% and 220% respectively. NE and DA levels were enhanced more than 100%after administration of the 0.3 and 0.5 mg/kg doses.…”
