Adsorption of Methylene Blue on Chestnut Shell-Based Activated Carbon: Calculation of Thermodynamic Parameters for Solid–Liquid Interface Adsorption

Abstract: Chestnut shell-based activated carbon was prepared with chestnut shell as the raw material and ZnCl2 as the activating agent. Based on thermodynamic parameters, the adsorption behavior of methylene blue (MB) on chestnut shell-based activated carbon was studied, and the effect of temperature on the thermodynamic parameters and adsorption behavior was investigated.
