To fully support vertical industries, 5G and its corresponding channel coding are expected to meet requirements of different applications. However, for applications of 5G and beyond 5G (B5G) such as URLLC, the transmission latency is required to be much shorter than that in eMBB. Therefore, the resulting channel code length reduces drastically. In this case, the traditional 1-D channel coding suffers a lot from the performance degradation and fails to deliver strong reliability with very low latency. To remove this bottleneck, new channel coding scheme beyond the existing 1-D one is in urgent need. By making full use of the spacial freedom of massive MIMO systems, this paper devotes itself in proposing a spatiotemporal 2-D channel coding for very low latency reliable transmission. For a very short time-domain code length N time = 16, 64×128 MIMO system employing the proposed spatiotemporal 2-D polar channel coding scheme successfully shows more than 3 dB performance gain at FER = 10 −3 , compared to the 1-D time-domain channel coding. It is noted that the proposed coding scheme is suitable for different channel codes and enjoys high flexibility to adapt to difference scenarios. By appropriately selecting the code rate, code length, and the number of codewords in the time and space domains, the proposed coding scheme can achieve a good tradeoff between the transmission latency and reliability.

In general, the MIMO technology is used to transfer data from a protocol such as Wi-Fi in 5G networks. This is due to the increased bandwidth and capacity. The 802.11n protocol, which, using the technology described in it, allows you to reach speeds of up to 350 megabits/second. The quality of data transmission has improved even in areas where the reception signal is low. An external access point with a MIMO antenna is a well-known one. The WiMAX network can now transmit information at speeds of up to 40 megabits/second, using MIMO. It uses MIMO technology up to 8 × 8 . Thanks to this, a higher transfer rate is achieved—over 35 megabits/second. In addition, reliable and high quality connection of the best quality is guaranteed. In this paper, we continue to work and enhance technical configurations of MIMO in 5G networks. The proposed model will improve spectrum performance, improve network capability, and speed up data rates. In a saturation point, the proposed method achieves that the signal to noise interference ratio is just 42.4%, the receiver signal strength is 92.94%, the downstream traffic is 48.76%, the upstream traffic is 45.62%, the bandwidth utilization is 97.43%, the speed is 95.79%, the connectivity between the access point is 90.6%, and the network security is 96.42%.

Massive MIMO will improve the performance of future 5G systems in terms of data rate and spectral efficiency, while accommodating a large number of users. Furthermore, it allows for 3D beamforming in order to provide more degrees of freedom and increase the number of high-throughput users. Massive MIMO is expected to provide more advantages compared to other solutions in terms of energy and spectral efficiency. This will be achieved by focusing the radiation towards the direction of the intended users, thus implementing simultaneous transmission to many users while keeping interference low. It can boost the capacity compared to a conventional antenna solution, resulting in a spectral efficiency up to 50 times greater than that provided by actual 4G technology. However, to take full advantage of this technology and to overcome the challenges of implementation in a real environment, a complicated radio system is required. The purpose of this work is to present the MIMO technology evolution and challenges in a simple introductory way and investigate potential system enhancements.
