Advanced Configuration Parameters of Post Processor Influencing Tensile Testing PLA and Add-Mixtures in Polymer Matrix in the Process of FDM Technology

Abstract: The present paper focuses on the configuration possibilities of post -processor influencing mechanical properties of a given test sample produced by the FDM printer from different materials. The research consists of assessing the composite material configurations through a static tensile test conducted on 80 samples produced. The samples were produced based on ISO 527-2 standard, type 1A, with a horizontal position and a layer height of 0.2 mm. The individual samples consisted of four basic groups of materials… Show more

“…The tested pressure plates in Figure 1b,c were redesigned using the composite materials that were attached to the original steel pressure plate, PP_0, with dimensions 130 × 20 × 1 mm (length × width × thickness) and 2 holes, 5 mm in diameter. technology has its own problems that need to be overcome, such as determining the material properties of components printed in this way [17], the influence of configuration parameters [18,19], and specific design for 3D printing [19].…”

“…Meanwhile, the problem of manufacturability of these structures arises, and 3D printing becomes a successful technology in this regard. However, even 3D printing as a "boom" technology has its own problems that need to be overcome, such as determining the material properties of components printed in this way [17], the influence of configuration parameters [18,19], and specific design for 3D printing [19].…”

“…Additionally, Martinez et al [24] explored the 3D printing technology to develop iron-filled PLA for microwave absorption applications. Török et al [25] delved into the relationship between fused filament manufacturing parameters and the mechanical performance of various metalreinforced PLA composites, incorporating copper, steel, and iron fillers. Both Buchanan et al and Kumar et al [26,27] studied the effect of process conditions such as infill density, layer height, and print speed on the properties of iron-PLA composite.…”
