Advanced PLL with multivariable filter and fuzzy logic controller based shunt active power filter

Abstract: In this paper, an advanced control was applied to the Phase Locked Loop (PLL) circuit applied to a shunt active power filter to improve the power quality such as current harmonics and reactive power compensation due to the nonlinear loads and unbalanced voltage source. A self-tuning filter has been used to extract the fundamental component from distorted or unbalanced voltage source.
