Advances in Crystallization Processes

Abstract: He obtained his B.Sc in physical chemistry from Bar-Ilan University in 1989 and received his PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science with Prof. Gary Hodes on nanomaterials synthesis (1999). He then went to the Max Planck institute of colloids and interfaces for 3 years, as postdoctoral fellow to work with Prof. M. Antonietti and Prof. H Cölfen on biomimetic chemistry and chiral polymers. In 2003 joined the staff of the chemistry department at Bar-Ilan University, where he is currently a Professor at the ins… Show more

“…The chaotic orientation of the gypsum crystals, the almost total absence of swallow-tail habitus and the anhydrite inclusions suggest this facies is not a primary one (e.g. Bąbel, 2004;Ortí, 2011) but rather results from the hydration of anhydrite rocks (Lugli, 2001;Jaworska, 2012;Jaworska and Wilkosz, 2012;Jaworska and Nowak, 2013). A preserved primary selenitic texture is also unlikely, considering (i) the scarcity of swallow-tail twin habitus and (ii) the diagenetic transformations that must have affected the evaporite during burial.…”

“…Thirdly, it provides a researcher to obtain valuable chemicals in fewer reaction steps economically in a lab setting. [1][2][3] ZnCl 2 is widely applied in the industry like the production of paper, metal industry, textile, the synthesis of important chemicals, agriculture, water refinement, cosmetics and drug industry. 4,5 However, industrial ZnCl 2 waste brings about economic and environmental problems especially in steel industry.…”

“…In addition to all of these, they are used in economic synthesis by obtaining chemicals that can be obtained by multi-step reactions in fewer reaction steps in the laboratory. 16,17 In this study, H2O-Mn(H2PO2)2-MnCl2-NaCl, H2O-Mn(H2PO2)2-MnCl2 andH2O-NaCl-MnCl2 systems were analyzed, and an economic method was proposed for the separation process of Mn(H2PO2)2 salt used in the industrial field. SLE data of salts including H2PO2ion were given in Table I.…”
