Abstract:BACKGROUNDCervical cancer is the second most common cancer among women worldwide and the leading cause of cancer deaths amongst women. Early detection is possible by cervical screening. Liquid-based cytology and Cell blocks prepared from residue can be useful adjuncts to smears for establishing a more definitive cytopathological diagnosis.
