Agile project management in lean environment

Abstract: The article discusses the possibility of integrating the traditionally opposed approaches of Agile and Kanban in the management of large manufacturing enterprises. The aim of the study is to develop a new algorithm for the implementation of lean production via formation of small work groups that operate based on Scrum methodology. Authors have classified famous approaches to lean manufacturing implementation, identified general patterns, and proposed a new integrated approach. The developed algorithm helps to … Show more

“…Ganebnikh E.V. and Fokina O.V., analyzing the possibility of integrating traditionally opposed Agile and Kanban approaches in managing large-scale production enterprises, propose an algorithm for implementing lean production technologies through the formation of small working groups operating based on the Scrum methodology [9]. Based on the conducted research and considering the obtained results, it seems reasonable to consider the possibilities provided by the optimal combination of the "six sigma" concept and the process management methodology of lean production.…”

“…The obtained value of the factorial integral indicator of the economic state shows that the enterprise-object of the study is at the stage of decline [16,17,18,19]. The metallurgical enterprise needs to undertake a new strategy and objectives that will help it return one step back in the life cycle (Figure 3).…”

“…Their development provided the ability to exchange data in production technologies, including cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things, big data and analytics, augmented reality, additive manufacturing, modeling, horizontal and vertical system integration, autonomous robots, and cloud computing. In this way, digital technologies help integrate and combine intelligent knowledge-intensiveequipment and personnel to build systematic value chains and innovative products [26]. For this entire set of qualitatively new production relations and the conditions for managing the value chain throughout the entire life cycle of innovative products, the name Industry 4.0 has been fixed.…”
