“…To confirm this hypothesis, UV–vis and IR analyses of the various systems were performed to evaluate the effect of LiNO 3 on the changes in the overall microstructure of the system, as shown in Figure . The introduction of Nd­(CF 3 SO 3 ) 3 to DMI resulted in the appearance of four absorption peaks (349.4, 524.6, 583.4, and 745.3 nm) accompanied by characteristic satellite shoulders, which were ascribed to the hypersensitive transitions with the pronounced fine structure in the 4f 3 shell of Nd­(III) .
