Algoritimos participativos: uma ferramenta computacional de produtividade

Abstract

This thesis proposes the creation of an algorithmic strategy for the application of the concept of mass customization in housing production. From a bibliographic review on the mass production of residential buildings throughout the 20th and early 21st centuries, the inadequacy of these experiences to the real demands of their residents is evident. Criticism of these models leads to the search for the involvement of future occupants in the architectural and urban definitions of new developments. The involvement of the resident, consumer or user in the definition of a product gains strength in different productive sectors, and in the goods and services industry materializes in methodologies for the optimization of this participation identified as mass customization. Since housing is produced on a large scale, this work seeks, in the light of mass customization, to contribute to a methodology for optimizing the participation of future residents in defining the characteristics of their homes. Thus, it proposes the creation of a computational tool that, from the dialogue with users, generates a wide variety of solutions for an architectural proposal. To this end, it is sought, through a proof of concept, to contribute to the discussions on the incorporation of future residents in architectural design through computational tools.
