All-organic thin film flexible photodetector based on C60 modified PEDOT:PSS

Abstract: In organic electronics, the use of self-assembled monolayer dielectric functional groups is considered an effective surface modification strategy that can significantly improve device performance. A flexible polymer (PEDOT:PSS) photodetector on the substrate polyimide with broadband response (450 nm ∼ 980 nm) and high response (0.56 A W −1 ) is reported, which is superimposed on the surface by small molecule (C 60 ) thermal evaporation. In addition, the planeness of the organic semiconductor and the overall pe… Show more

“…CdS is a commonly used material for the photoresistor, which has nonpolarity and ohmic properties [66] (Figure 8). Recently, many flexible 2D material-based photoresistors, such as MoS 2 [67] (Figure 8a), Poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS), [68] and perovskite [69] (Figure 8b), have been reported.…”

“…Recently, it has been reported that poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT):phenyl-C 61 -butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) films can be used as an active layer in the similar planar structure of LDR for visible light detection . It has been also reported that the fullerene (C60)-modified PEDOT:PSS films can detect the broad range light of 450 to ∼980 nm . Another study has shown that photodetectors with perovskite/conjugated polymer films were able to sense a broad range (365 to ∼940 nm) of light .…”

“…In addition, the inorganic LDRs have a limited flexibility and/or transparency owing to the inherently rigid (hard) and/or brittle characteristics of constituent inorganic materials used for LDRs. [ 15,16 ] On this account, organic materials have been introduced for the fabrication of LDR‐like devices with a planar geometry because of their advantages in flexibility and optical transparency. [ 17–20 ]…”

[15,16] On this account, organic materials have been introduced for the fabrication of LDR-like devices with a planar geometry because of their advantages in flexibility and optical transparency. [17][18][19][20] However, most of the early studies have been restricted to the investigation of photocurrent only without the detailed data of electrical resistances, even though a few works have reported on the electrical resistance of devices.…”
