Allrounder Strategy for Photopatterning Silver Nanowire Network Electrodes

Abstract: Despite their high optical transparency and electrical conductivity, the commercialization of silver nanowire materials as transparent electrodes is challenging owing to the lack of a scalable micropatterning process. This paper proposes a versatile method for photopatterning silver nanowire networks, based on photoinduced nanowire−nanowire and nanowire−substrate cross-linking. Because the proposed method requires only a small loading of the photocross-linking agent, the intrinsic physical characteristics of t… Show more

“…Therefore, a similar device architecture is employed, including a transparent conductive substrate, an ion storage layer, an electrolyte, and a CP-based electrochromic layer . Segmented display and active-matrix display are the widely used working modes in EC displays, which need to pattern the CPs as segments, pixels, or logos by inkjet printing, coating through a shadow mask, or flexographic printing. , These methods require CPs with highly uniform, monodisperse, and well-desired morphology and size, as well as excellent adhesion with the substrate to display precise patterns, such as characters, high-resolution images in small size, etc. , The morphologic requirement is a limitation for most CP materials to achieve their optimal EC display performance, particularly precise patterning. Inkjet Printing with the ink made of CPs has been used to achieve precise displays .…”
