Abstract:Sporadic spinocerebellar degenerative diseases such as multiple system atrophy (cerebellar type) and cortical cerebellar atrophy typically present with cerebellar ataxia. Multiple system atrophy is characterized by ataxia, with parkinsonism, dysautonomia and neuropsychiatric symptoms, resulting in reduced quality of life.
