“…Within this work, we hence investigated the effects of different d-SPE adsorbents to maximize the removal of interferents, minimizing the adsorption of target PAHs and PCBs and the effect on analyte recovery. In more detail, PSA was chosen for its high affinity for sugars [25], fatty acids, and pigments including chlorophyll [26]; Z-Sep for its affinity to lipids [27]; C18 for its affinity for fats and waxes [26]; and Florisil for its polar characteristics and affinity with pigments such as carotenoids and xantophylls [28]. Furthermore, the effect of sulfuric acid was also tested to improve the removal of co-extracted organic compounds not efficiently removed by d-SPE phases.…”

“…In addition, the asymmetric stretching vibration of SiOSi was found as the source of the signal at 1095 cm −1 . Remarkably, the appearance of a distinctive vibrational peak at 1544 cm −1 in SBA‐15‐NH 2 was indicative of the successful modification of SBA‐15 through the introduction of amino functional groups via APTES 24 . As for the SNAZ and SNAZD, the signals at 1218 and 775 cm −1 were attributed to PO and PC stretching vibrations, respectively 25,26 .…”

“…Remarkably, the appearance of a distinctive vibrational peak at 1544 cm À1 in SBA-15-NH 2 was indicative of the successful modification of SBA-15 through the introduction of amino functional groups via APTES. 24 As for the SNAZ and SNAZD, the signals at 1218 and 775 cm À1 were attributed to P O and P C stretching vibrations, respectively. 25,26 This observation suggested the successful interaction between ATMP and the amino functional groups present on both the inner and outer surfaces of SBA-15.…”

“…The mesoporous material SBA-15 and its derivatives are characterized by high adsorption versatility, strong adsorption stability, and large adsorption capacity. They are widely used to separate and remove organic pollutants and heavy metals in food and environments [ 23 , 24 , 25 ]. In this study, SBA-15-C 18 was prepared by introducing C 18 groups into the active site of SBA-15, which exhibited better adsorption properties for non-polar and weakly polar compounds compared to SBA-15 [ 26 , 27 ].…”
