“…Um exemplo é a Colômbia, onde há pelo menos quatro espécies do complexo (B. alfaroi, B. calcarata, B. maculateralis, e B. tetete;Acosta-Galvis et al 2018, Meza-Joya et al 2019, porém, apenas a presença de B. calcarata e B. alfaroi foi confirmada através de análises moleculares, e os registros de B. maculateralis e B. tetete ainda necessitam de confirmação. Na Venezuela, as espécies do complexo ainda são identificadas genericamente como B. fasciata ou B. calcarata (Senãris e Rojas-Runjaic et al 2020) sem que estudos detalhados sejam feitos para a confirmação das identificações. Esse padrão é observado também para o Suriname (Ouboter e Jairam 2012) e em diferentes regiões da Amazônia brasileira, como nos estados do Amazonas (Menin et al 2019) e Acre (Fonseca et al 2019, Freitas et al 2020, um limitante na avaliação da identidade taxonômica e os padrões de distribuição das espécies do complexo.…”
