A controllable gain class-B push-pull current amplifier using CMOS OTAs is proposed. The current amplifier has features of a linear current gain controllability, low power consumption, and zero DC bias current. Its current gain can linearly and electrically controlled by DC voltage. The proposed current amplifier is designed using EOTAs that consist of P-type and N-type OTAs. Since the amplifier operate as a class-B circuit, thus no DC bias current is required resulting in low power consumption and a wide signal swing range. The performances of the amplifier are confirmed through SPICE simulation.
