An efficient CaTiO3 nano sonocatalyst toward the dye degradation under ultrasonic irradiation

Abstract: In this work, the sonocatalytic property of CaTiO 3 nanoparticles synthesized via a polyacrylamide gel route was investigated by degrading rhodamine B (RhB), methyl orange (MO) and methylene blue (MB) under ultrasonic irradiation. It is revealed that CaTiO 3 particles exhibit an excellent sonocatalytic activity toward the dye degradation. )] on the sonocatalytic efficiency was systematically investigated. Hydroxyl (•OH) radicals were detected by fluorimetry using terephthalic acid as a probe molecule and are f… Show more

“…In order to distinguish the contributions of different reactive oxygen species (ROS) during the photocatalytic oxidation of Mn( ii ) by Bi 2.15 WO 6 , various scavengers such as benzoquinone (BQ), catalase (CAT), HCO 3 − and methanol were added to the reaction systems to quench the activities of the corresponding O 2 ˙ − , 43 H 2 O 2 , 44 h + 45,46 and ˙OH. 47,48 X-ray diffraction (XRD, Rigaku D/Max 2500) with a Cu Ka radiation was used to characterize the crystalline structure of the synthesized Bi 2.15 WO 6 at a scanning rate of 5° min −1 .…”
