An Efficient Resource Allocation Algorithm for Device-To-Device Communications

Abstract: In order to solve the problem of interference and spectrum optimization caused by D2D (device-to-device) communication multiplexing uplink channel of heterogeneous cellular networks, the allocation algorithm based on the many-to-one Gale-Shapley (M21GS) algorithm proposed in this paper can effectively solve the resource allocation problem of D2D users multiplexed cellular user channels in heterogeneous cellular network environments. In order to improve the utilization of the wireless spectrum, the algorithm al… Show more

“…It can be seen from the results that the algorithm has the highest total system throughput without considering D2D user satisfaction, but after considering the fairness of D2D users, the total system throughput is reduced. Compared with the algorithms proposed in Cai et al [21] and Saraereh et al [25], the use of intelligent optimization algorithms greatly improves the throughput of the system. 4 shows the overall trend of the average satisfaction of D2D users with 10 cellular users.…”

“…Saraereh et al [56] proposed an algorithm to increase wireless spectrum efficiency in the D2D dense network, which allows multiple D2D users to share one cellular user's channel bandwidth. It also maximizes the connectivity service quality of cellular users and D2D users by increasing the Signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) threshold.…”

“…The problem of improving user fairness has been approached in the existing literature, such as usage-based pricing scheme and resource allocation in next-generation broadband wireless access networks [4,5]. D2D communication is a new technology under the control of base stations or core networks that allows direct communication between user terminals at short distances through a dedicated spectrum or multiplexed cellular network spectrum [6,7]. Because D2D communication does not pass through the base station relay, it is conducive to saving equipment power [8,9], offloading cellular traffic and reducing the burden on the base station.…”
