An Entropy-Based Design Evaluation Model for Architectural Competitions through Multiple Factors

Abstract: Generally, the evaluations in architectural competitions are based on quality where many criteria are involved. Additionally, many other inter-related criteria, identified by the members of the jury, emerge during jury evaluation. Hence, a great number of criteria play a role, with varying degrees of importance, in the evaluation process. The order of importance and weights of criteria (factors) in the evaluation phases are not fixed and differ according to the approaches of the jury members. The objective of … Show more

“…The entropy weight method is objectively weighted, and the degree of influence of this index on the evaluation is determined by calculating the degree of discreteness of the index data [15,16,17], and this paper introduces the entropy weight method to calculate the weights for the third layer of continuous indicators X-X 2 -X 21 and X-X 2 -X 22 .…”

“…In time, hybrid methods have extended to 3D modelling. Various research and standalone programs have recently been developed to generate 3D settlements (Güzelci, 2019;Aydın, 2020;Lacroix, 2022). Cities can be generated using various procedural modelling techniques, including roadways, building lots, exteriors, and complete interiors.…”
