An innovative pyroptosis-related long-noncoding-RNA signature predicts the prognosis of gastric cancer via affecting immune cell infiltration landscape

Abstract: Background: Gastric cancer (GC) is a worldwide popular malignant tumor. However, the survival rate of advanced GC remains low. Pyroptosis and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are important in cancer progression. Thus, we aimed to find out a pyroptosis-related lncRNAs (PRLs) signature and use it to build a practical risk model with the purpose to predict the prognosis of patients with GC.Methods: Univariate Cox regression analysis was used to identify PRLs linked to GC patient’s prognosis. Subsequently, to constr… Show more

“…LncRNA ADAMTS9‐AS2, a verified tumor suppressor, was revealed to promote NLRP3 mediated pyroptosis in GC cells, as well as enhancing cisplatin sensitivity (Ren et al, 2020). Similarly, a number of non‐coding RNAs associated with pyroptosis have been explored to establish effective predictive models of GC, which contribute to the immune and pharmacological landscape of GC microenvironments (Guo et al, 2022; Xiong et al, 2022; Yin, Che, et al, 2022a). Consequently, induction of activation of cellular pyroptosis is a promising pathway for GC treatment.…”
