An Intelligent Multi-Sensor Variable Spray System with Chaotic Optimization and Adaptive Fuzzy Control

Abstract: During the variable spray process, the micro-flow control is often held back by such problems as low initial sensitivity, large inertia, large hysteresis, nonlinearity as well as the inevitable difficulties in controlling the size of the variable spray droplets. In this paper, a novel intelligent double closed-loop control with chaotic optimization and adaptive fuzzy logic is developed for a multi-sensor based variable spray system, where a Bang-Bang relay controller is used to speed up the system operation, a… Show more

“…In the image multiscale and multidirectional analysis algorithm, NSCT is widely used because of its resolution ability in any direction and any scale, translation invariance provided by nondown sampling, and excellent performance without spectrum aliasing and Gibb's phenomenon [22][23][24][25]. Attention.…”

“…Wavelet transform technology was proposed in the 1990s. This method has many excellent properties such as variable time and frequency domain, good directionality, and multiscale and has been widely studied and applied [22][23][24][25]. The directionality of wavelet transform is not flexible enough, and it is not very ideal in expressing the curve.…”

“…The PID controller is commonly used in several industrial processes and it is presented in Equation ( 17 ). A big disadvantage of this algorithms consist in the computing of the controller gains [ 37 , 38 ]. Figure 3 depicts the methodology proposed to compute the PID controller gains while using a fuzzy logic system.…”

“…References [13,14] introduce the idea of a variable theory domain on the basis of a fuzzy PID control, which overcomes the shortcoming of the limited control rules of a fuzzy PID controller, further increases the controller's adaptive ability, and improves the dynamic characteristics of the control system. In addition, references [15][16][17] use variable universe fuzzy PID control in different applications, and the control effect is significant.…”

“…Teresa et al [19] propose a control strategy that is a combination of a fuzzy sliding film controller and a linear controller for the speed control of dual-mass drives, which has been verified by experiments and simulations. Song et al [17] propose a new type of double closed-loop control, chaos optimization and adaptive fuzzy PID compound control strategy for variable spray systems with large inertia, large hysteresis, nonlinearity, etc., and a satisfactory control effect is obtained through experimental verification. In reference [20], a compound controller based on fuzzy logic is proposed for the steam supply system of a nuclear power plant.…”
