The high‐temperature creep experiment of Ni‐based superalloy GH4169 under the constant loading and varying loading conditions was conducted by using the round bar specimens. The creep time‐strain curves under different loading conditions were obtained to study the high‐temperature creep behaviour of GH4169 superalloy. At the same time, the longitudinal and lateral sections near the fracture of creep specimens were observed by the optical microscope, and the specimens with smaller grain corresponded to the larger creep strain rate. In view of the dispersion of the creep curves, the corresponding data processing method was put forward, and on this basis, a model that can describe the 3 stages of creep with certain physical meaning was established. The simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental results, especially the creep deformation under the varying loading condition. The predicted results of the relative time hardening model are closer to the experiment compared with time hardening and strain hardening model. The creep model is realized by the user's material subroutine code in a commercial FEM software package, which can be used as the basis of creep analysis for engineering structures.

Different phenomenological equations based on plasticity, primary creep (as a viscoplastic mechanism), secondary creep (as another viscoplastic mechanism) and different combinations of these equations are presented and used to describe the material inelastic deformation in uniaxial test. Agreement of the models with experimental results and with the theoretical concepts and physical realities is the criterion of choosing the most appropriate formulation for uniaxial test. A model is thus proposed in which plastic deformation, primary creep and secondary creep contribute to the inelastic deformation. However, it is believed that the hardening parameter is composed of plastic and primary creep parts. Accordingly, the axial plastic strain in a uniaxial test may no longer be considered as the hardening parameter. Therefore, a proportionality concept is proposed to calculate the plastic contribution of deformation.

Creep tests were conducted on DZ411 material at 930 °C and 850 °C, and creep curves were recorded and employed in normalization creep model building. A yield function suitable for directional solidification nickel-based materials was proposed in an ascending-order approach. Combined with the normalized creep model and the proposed function, a creep subroutine was compiled to simulate the creep deformation behavior of a turbine blade. The typical boundary conditions of the blade were determined and used for finite element analysis. According to the analysis results, the assessment positions for the actual application of a turbine blade were determined and checked for endurance intensity. The phenomenon of deviation angle between crystal axis and blade height direction in actual casting was further analyzed. Multiple angles and directional deviation angles were simulated for 10,000 h creep deformation. Considering the difficulties and challenges of the complex geometric structures of blades, it is necessary to conduct creep tests of DZ411 material and a simulation analysis of a real blade. Based on the above analysis and discussion, the present work sheds light on finite element analysis and has great potential for structural analyses in the engineering applications of complex high-temperature structures.
