Abstract:Fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) between tryptophan (Trp) and quinine sulphate (QS) has been investigated in aqueous medium at room temperature by absorption, emission, and time resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. Absorbance spectral characteristics rule out the possibility of ground state complex formation between them. Time resolved decay indicates dynamic type of quenching. Saturation of efficiency of energy transfer reveals the existence of FRET. Efficiency of energy transfer and distance betw… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
