An Overview of the Mechanism of Non-Metallic Materials for Energy-Saving and Environment-Protection

Abstract

Industry development Planning for Energy Saving and Environmental Protection in Twelfth Five Year has proposed that market share for efficient energy-saving technology and equipment will be raised from less than 5% at present to about 30% in 2015, and the output value will reach 500 billion yuan. The 18th National Congress of the CPC has proposed to put ecological civilization construction in a prominent position to build a beautiful China. State Council of China issued the Prevention Action Plan for air Pollution in 2013. It is a tough task and a long way to go. How can we realize the planning goal? Many non-metallic mineral materials have good applications in energy saving and environment protection. China is abundant in various non-metallic mineral resources. Therefore, development for non-metallic mineral resources for energy saving and environmental protection has good prospects. The paper gives an overview of the mechanism of several main non-metallic materials for energy-saving and environment-protection.
