A study has been carried out to investigate and analyze the structure of the ecological green space in Urumqi with techniques of Remote Sensing (RS) and Geography Information System (GIS). Combination of multi-band of TM image has tried in the study to interpreter the green space in Urumqi, which could draw the information on urban ecological green space accurately. On the basis of the results of rational classification, the structural characteristics of ecological green space in Urumqi have been analyzed and the existing problems have been discussed, finally the strategies and measures that should be taken in future have been put forward for building better ecological green space in Urumqi.
As a significant technological means of collecting global statistics and its changing information, remote sensing technology plays a critically important role in the investigation of territorial resources. Therefore, using remote sensing technology to interpret the tourism resources of Danxia landform can make up for many shortages of traditional methods so as to do less for more. In this article, the tourism resources of Danxia landform in Jiangxi province are extracted by remote sensing technology and its average area error is reduced to 11% through the statistics data. It can be concluded that it is feasible to investigate the tourism resources of Danxia landform by means of computer automatic identification and classification.

Sustainable development is one of the three main objectives of geoparks. As China has the largest number of global Geoparks, it is of increasing importance for us. The involvement and support of the local community are indispensable to the sustainable development of the Park. But how to achieve the goal in the network age is a big problem. Taking the practice of Mt. Sanqingshan Geopark in recent years as an example, the paper explores the involvement into the Park construction and management by the local residents in different ways, especially through the modern information technology, such as tourism geographic information system (TGIS), in order to share the fruits of Park development, and achieve the sustainable development of the Geoark.

State Council of China issued the Prevention Action Plan for air Pollution in 2013. It is a tough task and a long way to go. How can we realize the planning goal? Many non-metallic mineral materials have good applications in energy saving and environment protection. China is abundant in various non-metallic mineral resources. Therefore, development for non-metallic mineral resources for energy saving and environmental protection has good prospects. The paper gives an overview of the mechanism of several main non-metallic materials for energy-saving and environment-protection.
