“…En cuanto a los diagnósticos de derivación, observamos que los más frecuentes son Trastorno Depresivo (30,1%), Trastorno de Ansiedad (24,7%) y Trastorno Adaptativo (10,4%). Comparando estos resultados con los de Asturias, podemos ver que tanto los diagnósticos como los porcentajes son similares, si bien en el análisis de Asturias prevalece el Trastorno de Ansiedad por encima del Depresivo (Valencia et al, 2014).…”

“…The average waiting time was 26 days, lower than that found in Catalonia 21 , and in 71.1% of referrals, the waiting time was ≤ 30 days. Referrals to psychiatry are higher than those made to psychology, as in other studies 4,10 . However, considering the number of professionals in each category in the mental health team, the proportion of referrals assigned to psychology is higher than those assigned to psychiatry (130 referrals per psychology professional vs 100 referrals per psychiatry professional).…”

“…Ferreras et al 9 studied referrals from PC to MHS and concluded that in 74.1% of cases, the reason for referral was depressive or anxiety-depressive symptoms. On the other hand, patients who are more frequently referred to clinical psychology professionals are younger 2 , less medicated, and with less urgent character 4 , while patients diagnosed with depression, adjustment disorders, or anxiety-depressive disorders are more often referred to psychiatry 10 . Patient no-shows for their rst appointment in mental health centers are associated with longer waiting times [11][12][13] .…”

“…The drop-out rate was similar in all the experimental groups (χ 2(3) = 2.89, p = .410), and was mainly a result of problems attending the programed sessions for personal reasons (e.g., timetable incompatibility, looking after family members). The sample size was established taking into account the size of the target population in the Principality of Asturias (Spain), that is, those who had requested psychological assistance and fulfilled the diagnostic criteria for anxiety and depression (Valencia et al, 2014). The final sample size ( n = 128) reached adequate levels of representativeness (confidence 90%, margin of error 6%) See Figure 1 for CONSORT diagram.…”
