The purpose of this study was to identify differences in students' creativity and thinking skills between the application of case-based learning and conventional learning in the vector control dan rodent courses. This research was conducted at the Department of Public Health, University of Jambi in the fifth semester students with an interest in environmental health with a total of 37 students. The research design was in the form of a quasi-experimental class involving the experimental class and the control class. The instrument used is a test sheet with indicators to measure thinking ability and creativity, a communication skill test sheet and an assessment report sheet. Data were collected twice through pre-test and post-test. Processing and data analysis using Paired Sample T-Test. The results showed that most of the students were still less active during lectures using the conventional / lecture method, as many as 15 people (40.5%). Students only pay attention, remain silent and there are no questions or comments related to the lecture material presented. The results of the statistical test showed that the p.value was 0.000, the p value < α (0.05), which means that there is a difference in student learning outcomes using the conventional / lecture method using the CBL method. This means that there is an effect of giving the CBL learning method on the thinking ability (learning outcomes) of fifth semester students with an interest in environmental health, majoring in public health sciences, FKIK Jambi University in vector control and rodent courses. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the case-based learning model is expected to increase students' creativity and thinking skills and hone communication skills by being actively involved in a complex learning process based on case studies. Key words: Case based learning, creativity, thinking skills, vectors and rodents ASBTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan kreativitas dan kemampuan berpikir siswa antara penerapan pembelajaran berbasis kasus dan pembelajaran konvensional pada mata kuliah pengendalian vektor dan hewan pengerat. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jurusan Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Jambi pada mahasiswa semester V peminatan kesehatan lingkungan dengan jumlah 37 mahasiswa. Desain penelitian ini berupa kelas eksperimen semu yang melibatkan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar tes dengan indikator untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir dan kreativitas, lembar tes keterampilan komunikasi dan lembar laporan penilaian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dua kali melalui pre-test dan post-test. Pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan Paired Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa masih kurang aktif pada saat perkuliahan menggunakan metode konvensional/ceramah yaitu sebanyak 15 orang (40,5%). Mahasiswa hanya memperhatikan, diam dan tidak ada pertanyaan atau komentar terkait materi kuliah yang disampaikan. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa p.value adalah 0,000, nilai p < (0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan metode konvensional/ceramah dengan menggunakan metode CBL. Artinya ada pengaruh pemberian metode pembelajaran CBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir (hasil belajar) mahasiswa semester V minat kesehatan lingkungan jurusan ilmu kesehatan masyarakat FKIK Universitas Jambi pada mata kuliah pengendalian vektor dan hewan pengerat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis kasus diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan keterampilan berpikir siswa serta mengasah keterampilan komunikasi dengan terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran yang kompleks berdasarkan studi kasus. This study aims to find out the Iqro learning process using the Quantum Learning method and find out the effectiveness of the Quantum Learning method to improve the learning achievement of class V students of the PKK SLB Lampung Province. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) or classroom action research conducted in the classroom when the learning process takes place, in the process of its application, this research consists of several cycles and stages. This study consisted of three cycles of 5 students, consisting of 2 female students and 3 students. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely plan (planning), act (action), observe (observation), and reflect (reflection). While data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation. Inductive, deductive, and TDF statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate: Iqro learning process using the Quantum Learning method can take place well in three cycles and is carried out in 6 stages, namely fostering student attitudes, getting used to reading, getting used to writing, structuring the learning environment, training children's memory, training children to learn creatively . From this stage, the aim is to invite students to learn actively, dynamically, communicatively and happily. So that the learning process is not felt as formal saturating space. In another aspect, the application of methods in presenting student learning evacuation as something that seems interesting and challenging. With the application of the Quantum Learning method can help teachers in fixing the weaknesses of teaching and student learning, namely simplification of theory into mind mapping (concept map ) so the learning material is easy to remember. Besides that, this method can also be applied to language learning and other subject areas. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran Iqro' dengan menggunakan metode Quantum Learning dan mengetahui efektifitas metode Quantum Learning untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas V SLB Tuna PKK Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) atau classroom action research yang dilakukan di dalam kelas saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung, dalam proses penerapannnya, penelitian ini terdiri dari beberapa siklus dan tahapan. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga siklus terhadap 5 siswa, yang terdiri dari 2 siswi dan 3 siswa. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu plan (perencanaan), act (tindakan), observe (pengamatan), dan reflect (refleksi). Sedangkan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis yang dilakukan secara induktif, deduktif, dan statistic jenis TDF. Science Lesson is a subject that demands a lot of conceptual understanding, because in science learning, many students are faced with abstract concepts. Teachers need to direct the students through meaningful learning process that they experience themselves so as to apply knowledge in everyday life. Thus the use of science-based learning-based learning module is expected to increase student activity and learning outcomes. The research development model is a 3-D development model (tree D). The purpose of research is to produce learning module science- based project based learning on the material of organic and inorganic waste is effective. Data collection using validation sheet, practical and module effectiveness. The technique of data analysis is descriptive data, that is by describing the practicality of using science-based learning process-based learning module. Based on the result of research, it can be concluded that the learning module of IPA on organic and inorganic waste processing materials oriented project based learning including effective category in terms of student activity, student motivation and student learning outcomes.
